In this new online era of Web 2.0 it seems as if a brand new social networking site bursts onto the scene every day. To be sure, there are a plethora of these networks to join and utilize to network with potential customers, new blog readers and clients, and to make or reconnect with online friends. In fact, there are so many of these sites now that users have to be highly selective of the social platforms they choose to join. Highly addictive, these sites will turn any casual web user into a bona fide web junkie once connections are made and conversations get started.

That said, we at TheMomSalon.com have decided to partake in a little experiment of sorts. Over the coming months we will join as many social networking sites as we can (well, only those that truly interest us) before we get so overwhelmed we want to throw ourselves under a bus. We're doing this experiment because we want to see how these sites will work for us. How will social networks draw more readers, bloggers, visitors to our site?
