Cape Clogs -- the Floral Variety
Monday, March 2, 2009
A little secret: I've always wanted to own a pair of clogs. Ever since a good friend of mine from high school, Jenny, -- who happens to be one of the smartest people I've ever known in my life -- wore a pair throughout our entire senior year I've longed for a pair for myself. Jenny ended up going to Duke. Hmm. I wonder where she is today. My suspicion is she's probably still rocking the clogs and just being one big brain.Imagine my excitement when I got a chance to review Cape Clogs, some of the greatest clogs from Sweden. My dream of wearing clogs would finally be realized. I was in heaven and still am. I love them!
I decided to get the Cherry Blossom Cape Clogs since spring is just around the corner (shown above). I have to admit, the leather upper was a little stiff when I first slipped them on, but what great shoe doesn't need to be broken in first? After wearing them for a few days, they are some of the most comfortable shoes my feet has ever been acquainted with. What I like most about these clogs is that they are beautifully designed and you also can clearly see that the wood is hand carved. It's a simple shoe, but very well made. Now I find myself wearing my Cape Clogs leisurely around my home throughout the day. As someone who holds comfort dear none of my other shoes hold this honored distinction. They're snug and comfortable and fit my feet perfectly. Whoopi Goldberg, Gayle King, Brooke Shields, and Meredith Viera agree with me. They're fans of Cape Clogs, too.

Vaseline Clinical Therapy Lotion
Monday, December 29, 2008
I received two bottles of Vaseline's Clinical Therapy Lotion, one that is lightly scented and another that is not scented at all. I have to say, I cannot find a single flaw with this lotion. It goes on smooth with no sign of flaking. The scent is not overpowering in the least, and it doesn't make your skin feel as if it can't breath.
For anyone who has extremely dry skin, the Vaseline Clinical Therapy Lotion will do wonders. While I don't have dry skin myself, I can certainly see how therapeutic it can be for those who suffer with dry skin day in and day out.
Overall, I am very pleased with the lotion and once it runs out, I'll continue to buy it for me and my family.
Speaking of buying the lotion, you can visit www.prescribethenation.com and print out a $1 off coupon for the Vaseline Clinical Therapy Lotion.

The SpringPad Makes Organization Easy
Monday, December 22, 2008

If you are anything like me, you have tried a whole slew of online organizers and have subsequently let them fall by the wayside opting instead to use pen and paper for your organizational needs. As much time as I spend online, from blogging to social networking, you'd think I'd be able to catch onto online organizing like a pro, but that's just not the case. In fact, I have resisted e-organizers at all costs. I do, however, believe I've been sold on one that takes organizing to another level: the SpringPad, a free online organizational tool that is by far the best of its kind I've ever seen or used.
After getting an eye-opening tour of the SpringPad by Spring Partners CEO Jeff Janer and using the SpringPad myself I can personally give it a resounding thumbs-up, especially for busy moms and bloggers like me who need tight organization to make it through the day with all important tasks completed.
- I have set a task I want to share with you. It's set for Tuesday, December, 23, 2008 and says Visit TheMomSalon.com. All you have to do is click the Spring It! link below and it will automatically load into any list you designate so you'll remember to visit TheMomSalon.com tomorrow. Sign up for your SpringPad and give it a whirl.
The SpringPad also has several lists (called springpads) already created that help make your life easier such as a weekly meal planner, a christmas card log, babysitter handbook, and medical tracker among many, many more springpads. With everything the SpringPad offers, it is a great way to get organized in the new year. Plus, it's free, and I love anything that's free!

The Oral-B Triumph With SmartGuide Technology: The Best Toothbrush I've Ever Used
Wednesday, December 10, 2008
This morning I brushed my teeth with the best toothbrush I've ever used in my life. It's the Oral-B Triumph 9900 Toothbrush with Smart GuideFirst, the Triumph 9900 has four modes that you can use to brush your teeth: clean, sensitive, massage, and polish, and promises that you will see whiter results in 21 days. After one cleaning I can already see a difference. The Triumph will also alert you if you are applying too much pressure on your gums in order to prevent from causing gum recession.
What makes the Triumph extraordinary, however, is its Smart Guide Technology. Along with your toothbrush comes a timer that shows not only the current time, but also acts as a wireless remote that detects when you begin brushing your teeth and starts a two-minute countdown to make sure you do a sufficient brushing job. The timer also breaks the two minutes into 30-seconds for each quadrant of your mouth and when the two minutes are up it flashes a huge smiley face telling you you're done.
The Oral-B Triumph retails for $169.99. Click here to see a short commercial about how the Oral-B Triumph 9900 works.

Sweet PJs for Little Girls
On Friday afternoon I received the Candy PJ set from The Children's Place for my oldest daughter and I have to say: it's quite adorable! As I wrote this review, my daughter was sound asleep in her new pajamas and her hair was tied back with the matching ponytail holder that came with it. Before she went to bed last night, she was in total bliss -- literally smiling from ear to ear -- knowing that she would go to sleep in her brand-new pajamas with her favorite sweet treats emblazoned on it. (Notice the donuts, cupcakes, and cake on the Candy PJ photo on the left). The pajamas are well-made, sturdy, and the fabric is not too heavy. Sometimes when pajamas are made with fabric that is too heavy, it becomes uncomfortable to wear, but The Children's Place's Candy PJ pajamas are not too hot evidenced by the fact that my daughter stayed snuggled under the covers all night as opposed to kicking out because she was too hot. What makes the Candy PJ set extra sweet is the glittered screen print on the top. It's definitely a nice touch and really makes the pajama set stand out.
The Candy PJ set is perfect for sleepovers or even trips to see relatives. It's lightweight and a ton of fun for girls to wear to let their imagination run wild as they imagine eating all those delectable sweets. Retails for $16.50. Very affordable; love that!
We're also giving away a $30 gift certificate to The Children's Place.

- This bib is definitely water proof and I love the back. The velcro that holds the bib in place is slightly adjustable so that I can tighten it for Peanut or loosen it for Bubbie! How great is that! -- Hyperactive Lu
- The suit's material is a premium cotton interlock, which isn't too light or too heavy, so this could easily be a daytime or nighttime outfit. I can't wait to show off his suit to family on Christmas Day! -- Mom Spark
- For quality, the sheer adorable factor, the ease of use, the great design, the bright holiday color and for winning over my son's hard-won approval, this one gets a BIG thumbs-up in
my book! The back pockets were especially a big hit with my son, who like all men, is forever stuffing things in his pockets. -- A Bookworm's (Moms) Blog - The coverall has convenient snaps and is made from super comfy cotton! I am also a sucker for "the little details". -- Go Grahm Go
- The material is very soft and the outfit was true to size. It features the very popular "Thing One and Thing Two" and adorable red and white striped pockets. -- The Not-So-Blog
- Love the pockets. Super soft and it has easy buttons for those quick bum changes. -- Mommy from the Midewest
- I received the most adorable Dr. Seuss Coverall Seuss Suit to review from Bumkins Finer Baby Products. -- Moomettesgram's Musings
- This suit really seems to embody what it is like to be a child. It's bright, fun, cute, and full of pizazz! And of course, it is so well made (I wouldn't expect any less from Bumkins!). The fabric is nice and thick, the stitching is beautiful, it was made to last. They made this one with babies like Calvin in mind! -- The Giveaway
- We also received the Dr. Seuss Waterproof SuperBib which I couldn't wait to use. I got so beside myself, I forgot to take a picture of Jayden in it! Ooops! -- Mommy Daddy Blog
The bib is WAY better than those plastics bibs. It's vinyl, phthalate, and PVC FREE. It's also made in good ole' US of A, with American fabric if you're wondering. -- You're the Boss, Brandice
