Co-Sleeping in Mothering Magazine's New Issue
Tuesday, December 30, 2008
When my daughters were babies they always slept in our bed. We were a proud, co-sleeping family. And when our daughtes became toddlers, we purchased them a bed, they enjoyed having their own space, and life went on merrily after that.I am a huge proponent of co-sleeping. When I had newborns I never missed an ounce of sleep because when my babies woke up during the night, they would nurse back to sleep, and I would drift back to sleep with them. The rhythm of our bodies -- mine and my babies -- was always in sync and we were happy and rested as little lambs when we awoke to face a new day.
Mothering magazine's January/February issue is dedicated to co-sleeping. Experts weigh in on why co-sleeping is natural and completely safe (pg 52). And parents have sent in countless pictures of co-sleeping that you really shouldn't miss (pg 42). They're all adorable.
Mothering magazine's January issue will be on newsstands on January 1. By the way, check out my blog on Mothering.com about historic breastfeeding.
