November's Real Simple

It's funny because I rarely, if ever, pick up a magazine on the newsstand. I was just talking to a seasoned magazine publisher yesterday and she mentioned that 73% of magazines end up being shredded at the end of each month because people typically don't buy magazines off the shelves. I must be typical because it's a rare occasion when I plunk down cold, hard cash for a magazine. But last week I bought the latest issue of Real Simple and it was a wonderful read, even though I still have about a quarter of the issue to read still.
Two articles that really stuck out to me were Your Fastest, Easiest, Tastiest Thanksgiving Ever on page 250 and Dress Up Your Eyes on page 262. I am definitely going to recreate -- to the best of my ability -- the Thanksgiving meal they so artfully laid out and so graciously provided detailed recipes for. This article will save me countless hours trying to come up with Thanksgiving dinner off the top of my head. Check out those articles; they're well worth the read or buy a 1-year subscription to Real Simple. I did because the $4.50 newsstand price is a killer.

Real Simple is one of my favorite magazines - love the fresh, crisp layout and practical content. I let my subscription lapse last year, but maybe I'll renew it.

I, too let my subscription lapse but buy it every so often at Costco. Love the magazine!
