Recommended Podcast: Just One More Book

It is so refreshing to listen to adults who have a quantifiable passion for children's books. Children's books are magical on so many levels, from the imaginative stories they tell to the amazement in children's eyes when they read or hear an amazing story for the first time.

If you're always on the prowl for the best children's books, you should definitely take a listen to Just One More Book's thrice weekly podcast about some of the best kids' books out there. Here's why we enjoyed listening: Andrea and Mark (the show hosts) record each podcast in a local coffee shop, which is quite engaging to the listener. Plus, the reviews of each book aren't stiff and mechanical, but light and straight to the point and lets you know as a parent why your child will probably find the book enjoyable as well.

As a listener you can become more involved by calling and letting them know the children's books you think should be mentioned on their show. And their web site is chock full of author and book archives that you could spend days perusing. It would be great, though, if all of the books were linked directly to Amazon so we could purchase the books easier, but other than that, Just One More Book is highly recommended by us!

Wow! Thanks so much for listening and for your sharing your enthusiasm for our show! What a great way to start our day!

And thanks for the feedback re: amazon links. We recently removed all our amazon and chapters links from eac of our shows, following a number of requests from independent booksellers (who we truly admire).

We try to link to the publisher page for each book to provide purchasing options and more information about the book and we hope that helps our listeners in a more equitable fashion.

Thanks again for listening. Maybe one day you'll send us your thoughts about a favourite children's book so we can include your audio in an upcoming edition of our show!
