Even though the lazy days of summer are all but over chances are your children will want to wind down a bit before they jump into the full swing of the school year. Here's an easy way to do it. Ulysses Press has published an intriguing book for anyone ages 3-103. It's called The Doodle Book: 187 Fun Drawings You Can Finish Yourself
. Artist, John M. Duggan, draws an interesting scene on each page and the reader must finish the scene using only their creativity, imagination, and doodling skills.Instead of creating a coloring book where people have to stay inside the lines, Duggan wanted to give people the opportunity to delve into their creative sources and doodle to their heart's' content. If my daughters' excitement for the book is any indication of how addictive it can be, then Ulysses Press has a sure winner on its hands.
